Ohh…. My legs are sooo sore….
I just rode my pushbike for the longest ride I’ve been on for ages.
I decided to ride over the hill to the water (which is enough of a challenge for an unfit slob like me) but when I got to the water I found a nice bike track – so I followed it around to a beach, and then rode back along the road from there. Probably a nice easy ride for someone fit – but I’m not exactly fit.
So now I’ve got sore legs AND a sore backside. Ah well – might loose some weight if I keep it up.

Anyway – a lot has happened since last I posted.
Mum and Dad came through with the trailer – and we went off and picked up an entertainment unit – and I bought a TV and set-top box too! The set-top box I kept. The TV I gave to Emma to replace the one I’ve stolen (I got a unit before she did).
We also put up an antenna for the TV, but it was too hard to put it on the roof that trip, and the pole was too short – so at the moment its just stuck in a bush – but I get all the stations now!
I also got a much nicer dinning setting. Much better than those ugly green chairs you can see in an earlier post.
And I was given a plant from my Mum to make the front door look better. And it’s called a “Monster Plant” – how cool is that! As you can se - I overwatered it a little. And the catalog on the doorstep is supposed to have been collected by now - some silly home-order catalog thing.
And possibly the biggest new – I GOT SUPREME COMMANDER!!!
I’m having some issues with my computer – but at least it runs (played my first mission last night). I’ll post more about that later when I have some time – and some energy. Might be a while

Well - last night was pretty cool. I got the internet!
I signed up with Internode earlier in the week - and finally got the net activated yesterday. I dont have any adsl splitters - so I cant use the phone at the same time as the net - but who cares - the net is far more important. I´ll get some splitters on Sat in Launy.
And not only did I get the net, but I finally managed to chat with Klutz on the Yahoo for a while (using the microphone). In fact - we were still talking until about 1 in the morning.
Klutz has moved to Mount Isa, so it was really nice to get a chance to catch up.
And about midnight I finally met one of my neighbours.
She came knocking at the door - and I figured it was to tell me off for talking too loud too late. But turns out she was rather drunk herself - and just wanted to tell me that the neighbours over the fence were having a party and if they got too rowdy to just let them know.
So now I have met one of my neighbours.
And I´m heading back to Launy for the weekend to do some shopping and attend Terreth´s ordination and things.

Finally - here is a pic of my unit. In an earlier post I said you could see it through the trees from the road - but I was wrong.
I am Unit 3, and this is my front door. Dosnt look very exciting does it?
The inside is really nice though - or at least I think it is.
But at the moment I´m having a string of problems. I dont have the net yet (which is to be expected as I only just moved in), my speakers for my PC blew a fuse and now I need to find a Dick Smith´s or something to replace it, and the antenna port for the TV dosnt do anything (I´m guessing there is no antenna at all). So I need to contact the rental place and ask permission to put an antenna up. I wouldnt mind being without TV for a while - but not if I´m going to stay there for a year or so.

Well, looky here.
I won a prize. That sort of thing dosnt happen to me much - so its a big deal.
We are developing a new website for the TT-Line called www.mytassiejourney.com.au (although its not publicly accessible yet - 13/02/07). Anyway - the company had a competion for whoever could do the best ´journey´ - the prize was a hamper of gourmet Tassie food.
I ended up doing testing for the site - so I made a lot of post in my ´journey´ and ended up winning the competition (which was just a way to encourage testing anyway).
So I´ve got a heap of strange food to eat in my new unit now :)

FINALLY! - I get somewhere to live in Devonport!jawaproTue 06/02/2007 11:00 AM
I finally got a positive responce from the real estate people. I am now all sorted to get the keys to a unit on Friday. Its in Mary Street, and its the 3rd unit on the block, which means you cant really see it in this picture (although the roof through the trees might be my unit).
So we´re organizing the big move for Saturday - and I finally get to see if I can survive on my own.
No more meals cooked for me, no more washing done for me, no more packed lunches for work....
Umm... maybe this wasnt such a good idea...
