Oscar has working 4WD again!
Having a Mechanic living with you can be useful sometimes, even if he's not really sure what he did to fix it.

Where I'd rather be...jawaproWed 05/10/2011 11:51 AM
As we speak - a goup of G60 enthusiasts are traveling across the Simpson Desert.
They have 4 G60s and a couple of support vehicles.
So far they've battled tracks closed due to fires, and pouring rain.
The following damage report was posted yesterday:
- Heaps of mechanicals
- Bush welding done on three cars
- Ross: broke three leafs (two front one rear)
- Miller: holed his rear diff
- Darren: tore off both front shock towers from chassis
- Ferdy: fuel tank and exhaust
- 80 series: rear bar tyre latch and wheel bearing
- Spida: roof rack and steering damper mount
Can you think of anywhere you'd rather be at the moment? What an adventure! (not being sarcastic - I'd love to be there)
Next time they do an epic trip - hopefully I'll have a vehicle fit for the trip.

Cafe PressjawaproWed 05/10/2011 11:25 AM
I found a link saying that Cafe Press was selling G60 clocks and shirts and things - so I decided to give it a try while the exchange rate was still good.
Emma and Bec jumped onboard with the order to split postage - and it finally arrived on Friday night.
http://www.cafepress.com/ (I've just noticed there is an Australian version of the site too)
As well as my G60 clock - I decided to trial their Steins, and got a Hagar one. Quite impressed - will probably get more in the future.
And of course the shirts - I'll add some photos of some of these later.
Glad I got in before the exchange rate crashed.

Diff-ingjawaproTue 04/10/2011 01:19 PM
This weekend, I decided to help out a fellow G60 enthusiast, who was in need of a rear diff. So Boris the Bits Truck came to the rescue.
We jacked him up, and pulled the diff out. Jolly heavy things, these diffs!
We replaced it with the diff from the guy’s G60, which is stuffed and half missing, but it’ll let me roll Boris around the yard, which is what I wanted.
A day spent messing with G60s is a good day in my books.
Big thanks to Dad for his assistance (and for volunteering the tractor to carry the heavy diff to the guy’s ute)

Let's go shopping!jawaproTue 27/09/2011 09:46 PM
A trip to Melbourne CBD with some spare time to go shopping...
I should have brought the bigger suitcase.
It’s not all for me though, I’ve got my sister’s birthday mostly sorted now, my entry in this year’s Dirty Brickster at Brickvention, and a present for one of my best mates – so a good haul all in all.
