Well - it's on it's way. Red Alert 3 - the latest Command and Conquer game.
And I have a beta key!
This means I can play it online before it comes out. I'm one of the relatively small number of people who will give it a test drive so the developeres can make sure it works properly and all the sides are ballanced and things.
I just need to find time to give it a go now.

Remember when you first saw Google Earth. Remember how cool it was?
Well - prepare to feel that way all over again.
Google has released Google Streets for Australia. They did it a while ago for some cities in the US, but now they've hit Aussie, and hit it hard.

Street View means you can walk along certain streets looking at 360 images as you go. Google had special cars with cameras on top that took photos as they toured around.
It wasnt long ago that half of devonport was still lousy quality images - now all the streets have Street View. You just enter my address, and up pops a picture of my house (still for sale - so it was a while ago). You can even go for a stroll inside the Vehicle Deck of one of the Spirit Of Tasmania ferries!
So if you live in a city or town, plug your address in and see if Google can show you your house. It's pretty cool.

Part of the deal with adopting a cat from the RSPCA is that it has to be desexed and micro-chiped and things.
Well, Neptune hadn't been done when I got him, so the RSPCA gave me a voucher to use to get it all fixed.
So today Neptune went off to the vets.
He wasnt as worry by being in the car this time. After what happened at the Vets, he'll probably never want to get in one again though.
He survived his ordeal and came back home tonight, but he's pretty groggy still, and appears to be living life at only half his normal speed.
With rest and warmth, the vet says he'll recover in a few days.

This was the first weekend I'd left Neptune to fend for himself for 2 nights, not just 1. It seems he either got a bit mad with me for being away so long, or perhaps just a little bored. Either way, when I got home, this was the mess that greeted me.
Ah well - he's off to the vets tomorrow for the big snip, so that'll teach him.

Saturday was another Axon LAN. Besides being the debute for my LAN Crate (see previous post) it was also a jolly good LAN. Savage, Cod4, Dota - perfection!
It also had a cool name "Gordon Freeman's Kitchen Nightmares". It had an awesome logo to go with it, which I'll try and find to upload. One of Axon's more successful naming attempts if you ask me.
