Yet another PC

Please welcome the newest in my collection of PCs.

Back over Christmas, Klutz left his PC at my place when he went back to Mount Isa - and it was brilliant having a decent PC here for friends to use when they came over. It was a little sad when he took it back.

So when this PC came up for sale cheap on the Axon forums - I decided to place a bid, and I got it. Just so it can be a spare for friends to use when they come over.

It's a pre-Core2, but otherwise is fairly decent specs. In a year or two I might need to throw in another cheap mobo and cpu to keep it up to current games - but otherwise it should last fairly well (for the price).

The case isn't bad - assuming you like that sort of thing.

Now I just need to work up the energy to get one of my CRTs down to see if it actually goes. Anyone know where I can get a good deal on some LCDs?

Unless you can get lucky and get to some awesome auction, then you'll be lucky to get an LCD for cheap. However, if you wish to spend some dough, then I can't go past the ViewSonic VA703b. Good price, and an excellent screen. Very very pleased with mine, excellent colour, doesn't blur, no problems.

Actually, there's another auction coming up. Last time, cousin [AC] picked up a couple of LCD's at $50 a pop.

Lol. I like the case though - very nice. 'Nemesis' - very sinister. I recommend (if it doesn't already have one / if you haven't already given it one) a name like Yuri.

Because i feel like sharing as well. i thought i'd share my new speakers which ROCK! never heard of the brand before researching but they are FANTASTIC!



Award Winning design and very very nice base, clear sound like nothing i've heard before. :)
And i picked them up online for $110 bucks which was totally worth it.

I was originally going to go for creative Gigaworks T40's i think, but glad i went for these.

I just turned them up to a little over half, they are extreeeeemly loud, extreemly powerful speakers. and very heavy to pick up compared to most speakers.
I can't express how pleased i am at them for the price.

Recommend them!
