More M:Tron

More M:Tron forces have arrived - this time from the Netherlands.

And this time they brought their vehicles with them!

Two separate orders from Netherlands arrived together in the mail today - that's pretty awesome.

The little buggie is the final 'normal' set for my M:Tron collection. I now own the entire theme, except for the special set that was never actually sold (more on that when it arrives).

This delivery also includes a couple of jet-pack equipped M:tron troopers. These guys didn't actually appear in any M:tron sets, but were in the 1991 Space Minifig Pack (along with some other random space dudes from the era).

My M:Tron outpost will be a truly international effort, with M:Tron troopers from Australia, Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, the US, and Canada.

It was all those vacuum-wrapped ones' fault at Brickvention, wasn't it?

Largely. They allowed me to get half the sets - which spurred me on to complete the collection.

I'm loving having an army of the figs too.

You know, I might actually have that little buggy in my collection. I've got some M:Tron, but not much.

Growing up I only had one little speeder bike style set.  http://rebrickable.com/img/sets-b/6811-1.jpg It's basically the flying equivalent of the buggy.

Didn't stop me from daydreaming at the catalogue for hours though - and now I own the entire range!

I had three of these sets growing up:  6811, 6877, and 6923.

I used to love all the of the space themes. Since then I've switched over the the Star Wars series, but I bet I still have several from all of the different series.

I have stayed away from Star Wars lego because I know how addictive it can be - and how hard it would be to collect it all (and I'm the sort of person who'd try). At least with the old themes you know you can get them all - because they are complete and finished.

You had more M:Tron than I did. My space collection was limited to a few of the smaller sets from the different lines. In fact the only space sub-theme I had multiples from was Ice Planet where I had both the smallest sets.

It sounds like you were very close to having the 'set that was never sold' that I've mentioned before. When it arrives (in the post) I'll blog about it and explain.
