Oscar Update

The bearing kit arrived from Mitsubishi during the week - so on Saturday it was time to put it back together!
 
That’s a nice new bearing ready to roll - looks far better than what we pulled out of there.

 

Chris brought home a large socket to use to bash the bearing in - with my fancy new hammer.  Almost as awesome as Thor’s.

 

Half assembled. Next we pushed the shaft in and then realised I’d used the wrong bolts so had to pry it back out using my epic crowbar and try again.

 
 
But finally the shaft was installed and Oscar was back on all his wheels again - feels so good to have a working 4x4 again!

If you have a nearly-Thor-worthy hammer, is your crowbar nearly as epic as Gordon's?

Yes indeed!
It's a massive crowbar - the sort you use to move fallen trees :)
