*checks car
Chris: Oh yeah, that's where they are.
Rob: Is the car locked?
Chris: Yep.
Rob: Where are the keys?
Chris: In the ignition.
Rob: Do you have a spare key?
Chris: Yep.
Rob: Where is it?
Chris: On the keyring.
Rob: The one in the ignition?
Chris: Yep.
Rob: Idiot!

Are you referring to whether it happened or the state of journalism on this website?

It did happen. Might not be a completely accurate transcript of the conversation - but it's right where it counts.

And yes - Chris did manage to break in and retrieve his key (had to borrow my car to go and get some tools first though).

I'm referring to the fact that he was keeping his spare on the same key ring as the main key.
