Oh Hark - Lisa MitchellAuthor: jawapro

As mentioned in a previous post, my sister got me tickets to the Lisa Mitchell "Oh Hark" concert for my birthday.
The concert itself was last night after we got back from Bridport - and it was fantastic.
I haven’t been to many other concerts (only 1 festival thingo and that’s it) and I’m seriously addicted to Lisa’s music, so I’m just a little biased, but I thought it was brilliant.
Lisa still comes across as very shy and nervous, and didn’t talk very much in between songs etc - but the music was brilliant.
As none of my friends owned up to liking her music (am I really that odd?) Klutz volunteered to come along and see what he thought. He hadn’t heard any of Lisa’s stuff since her Australian Idol days, and was quite impressed.
As I wasn’t sure if cameras would be allowed and mine is about as subtle as a bazooka, I took Mum’s camera in my pocket. Sadly Mum’s camera claimed it had a lens error and took a lot of convincing that it didn’t (thank Klutz) and threw a fit if you tried to zoom - so the above is the best photo I managed.
As an encore Lisa performed a cover of "Like a Prayer" that blows Madonna’s version out of the water and leaves it for dead. I didn’t even know it was a Madonna song until afterwards. If she ever releases that, I’m definitely buying it.
Thanks Loopy for the tickets - it was a brilliant night.
