Check out this collection of DVDs! I went to the Geneva Fair on Saturday and came back with them all.
How much do you reckon they cost me?
$50?
$40?
And no - they weren’t free.
They aren’t even all junk ones. We’ve got titles like Rogue, Max Payne, 28 Weeks Later, Cloverfield, Van Hellsing, Brothers Grim, Next, The Patriot, The Kingdom, The Golden Compass etc. They aren’t your cheap chickenfeed dvds!
So how much do you think?
The Kingdom and Golden Compass DVDs were given to Tim in trade for his ADSL router (his idea). I’m not sure if the router was a lend or complete swap, but either way it’s helping me out.
I also gave Zeke a heap of the corniest looking movies because he wanted to watch them. Plus a VHS of Aliens 3 which I already own on DVD.
So all bets in on the total cost?
Well here goes.
Two bucks!
Two measly dollars!
Good old Bec was in charge of the White Elephant stall again this year. Bec really gets into the idea of being a salesperson and tries to sell something to everyone. I’m not sure why Geneva let her do it again though, as she’d sell the who stall for $5 if she thought someone would buy it. It’s not exactly a money-spinner.
This year they had some DVDs to sell, but being a Christian School Fair, they decided they couldn’t sell the MA dvds on the stall and put them aside. Because she knew me and couldn’t sell them to anyone else – she tried to sell me the whole lot for 50c, but even I’m not that stingy!
So that was my big bargain for the week. Thanks Bec!
