Well everyone, meet my new toy!

That’s right, I’m now the proud owner of a short wheelbase Pajero.

 

It might have an ugly bulbar, but I still love the way Pajeros look. I took it up to local swimming hole to take these photos. Nice backgrounds for a 4x4 if you ask me.

 

The biggest problem is that the air-con doesn’t work. With me hating heat – that’s something I’ll have to fix.

 

There’s a bit of damage on the passenger side door – but that’s ok. I plan to take it up the bush, so even if it was pristine, it wouldn’t stay that way.

 

In fact, after taking these photos, I took it to show Tim, and we went for a cruise through some tracks around his place, and it got a couple more scratches from some friendly branches, but it was fun and the Padge got Tim’s tick of approval.

 

Sitting next to my Subaru. Currently the Subaru needs a new starter motor, but once that’s fixed, I plan to use the Subaru as my main vehicle still, with the Pajero for playing in the bush.

I was going to send you an email and ask how the test drive went. Apparently I don't need to any more!

I think you bought the right one, for a start. Is there any work you're thinking of doing to it yourself (e.g. snorkel, knobbly tyres etc.)? Your mechanic should be able to get the air con working for you again. At a guess (from my experiences with the Laser last week) it probably just needs to be re-gassed. I'm not sure what that will set you back, we haven't got the bill for the Laser yet...

Nice. So now, if you run over a wombat, it'll look like a Padge-ington Bear.

where abouts is that water hole? perhaps you can put a map up?
Is it good for camping, i haven't gone camping in foreverrr. i think the last time was with you and Daniel.

It's just outside of Latrobe - but it's a day use area - so no camping.

I think people do camp in the spot just outside the reserve though (second picture) but I'm not sure.

I can't remember ever going camping with you and Daniel - sure it was me?

I'm keen to go camping... i just need a boat ticket but i cant remember the number plate on my car.
