Not a bad way to spend a Saturday.

Dad and I went up the back of Ben Lomond to watch the Mountain Stages Rally. My mate Tim was competing again in his Evo.

The dust was insane - but the spectating was good. We found a couple of pretty sweet spots too.

This horse-shoe is at the bottom of a downhill stretch, so was quite exciting. So much for Aussie rallies being so strict - we were jolly close to the cars as they came down here. I thought Aussie rallies were far stricter than European ones about where you can be - but maybe not as much as I thought.

Tim had a better rally this time than the previous two (he finished!). He was doing very well until his brakes wore out and he ended up with a puncture. He was still pretty happy with the way the rally had gone though. Don’t know the final results yet though.

Looks like fun. How did Tim go? What ranking did he get?

I might be around for a couple of days at the end of semester, and if so, I might come round for a day or two, if that is cool.

puncture!

I was going to correct your spelling, but I see I was beaten to it.

It's bad when you get 3 grammar nazi's on your case. I was planning on correcting you too! Ah well, far too slow.

Also, according to the documentation I get sent by the local CAMS rep, apparently Tim scored 6 points in heat 1, and 12 in heat 2, bringing his total up to 18 for the season, which in turn moved him up to 11 out of 14 in his class.

Doh - thanks guys. I knew it was wrong - but do you think I could work out the right spelling....?

Klutz - more than welcome to come around.

Loopy - thanks for picking on me.

Turkey - thanks for that. As of last night, Tim wasn't sure what the results were.
