TV Channels - I have a new ONE.

Well - sports nuts can rejoice - Tassie has finally got access to ONE, the new 24 hour HD sports channel.

Now there's even more pointless stuff to watch on free TV, and less reason for anyone to get PayTV.

Being a non-sports nut, I'm not overly excited. There's some extra motorsport which will be good - but otherwise it'll probably just be junk.

Originally Tassie was supposed to get ONE when the rest of the country did - but they forgot about us. Then they were supposed to do it at the start of the month - but they ran out of cheeseburgers and put the project on hold.

Finally it went live last night. According to official sources on the net, you don't need to retune or anything - but that appears to be another lie. I had to rescan my LCD TV before it could pick ONE up.

Anyway - I just thought I'd post it here in case people didn't know about it yet. After the publicity of the two failed attempts - they seem to have kept this one quiet in case something went wrong again.

By the way - if you can't pick up HD stations - you're screwed :(

About time too!

Unfortunately there is still plenty of reasons to get pay TV. Namely they have the soccer contract, so One HD won't be doing much soccer. Other than that, I'm glad it's here, just a bit annoyed that a couple of children bickering (WIN and SC) made it take so long to get here!

And I didn't have to do anything to my TV. It picked it up straight away. Unfortunately for those of you who only have a standard definition set top box, you won't get this one. Sorry.

i  didn't need to retune for this.
Also i've got some channel called Go. (probably another useless thing)

Neither of them don't make me better from swine flu :(

Go! is officially released tomorrow, however they are up and doing test patterns at the moment apparently.

From what I've heard it's going to be all the shows Win has cancelled over the past few years brought back from the dead. I doubt I'll watch it much. Some quality would be nice!
