I just realised your going in Winter, Thats crazy, no one goes in winter for a reason, its going to be REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY Cold! And its going to be REALLLLLLLLLLLY Hot on the trains. Lots of people. And its going to be REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY dark a lot of the time..
So remember to wake up early and enjoy the 4 or so hours of sun.
In winter, apart from weekends, i hardly ever saw the sun. It gets THAT cold and THAT dark. Then again in Latvia, we got down to 2 hours of sun a day. !!!
Just found this on the net
- Average High: 43°F (6°C)
- Average Low: 33°F (1°C)
- Average wet days: 15 days
- Average daily sunshine: 1.75 hours
- January and February are the coldest months
Sooo i was wrong, you might only get 1.75 hours of sunshine a day....
If you plan on travelling try to avoip peak hour travel. its very crouded.
And often the Tube breaks down in area's, or someone decides to kill them selves by falling in front of a train.
Remember to stay away from the edge of the tracks. they come in fast and hard!
Remember to keep all your stuff close to you, and DON"T forget something. You'll never see it again!
Remember if you see something that isn't your's don't touch it, it might be a bomb.
Remember, you stand out as a tourist, if you talk on the trains. No one talks on the trains. Soo talking is bad. Well sort of. Its good, but everyone WILL strair at you.
(this is why im a hobbit now, to much time in london)
Apart from all That enjoy :)
I dooo like London in winter, but most people don't. Just Keep warm, and take your time. Enjoy the sights, Take the boat trip down the river. Go see the aquarium which is right next to the "Eye" Get off at Waterloo station, you can walk from there. The exit is next to the trains to france, It will pass over a busy road, and walk through some small shops. And then you'll see the "eye" and its down that way. great place to go. i really enjoyed it :)
