Finally - my lego movies are finished and have been approved by Microsoft.

I was hoping that Woody (TweakLab) would be able to provide music for this videos - same as he did for my Computer Graphics and Animation one (The Defence of Rimble). But alas, he was too busy - so its got my sped up singing instead.

I'm uploading the vides to Youtube as I type this - but you can see them right here on this site http://www.headlessmoron.com/lego/

Absolutely awesome.  I'm really impressed that you got it done in time, and that it looks so good.  Well done!

Well, I'm impressed. The video looks great (nice and smooth and very impressive!) but I have no idea how the sound is. The vacuum cleaners a bit much for our ancient dead speakers to deal with.

OK, its gone now, and the sound ain't half bad either. But I still can't help but be impressed!

Nice work, hopefully M$ are happy with this piece of golden work. Did you GNU GPL it for me?

Can you GPL Video?

It should be a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Licence

Very good! Kane brought me to your site and showed me your video. We are such fans of Legos in our house and look forward to when Mara Kate is old enough to learn to play with them! Nice Work!

Welcome aboard!

And thanks. I'm not sure if I'd want to let my kids play with my lego collection (when I eventually have kids) but I'll definatly be getting them their own collection.

And just so you know - your blog is officially linked as an Ally of the Alliance on my Alliance page (http://www.headlessmoron.com/alliance.php).

When XP first came out - I hated it.

I was still using 2000 (and ME!) for years before finally being tempted to use XP. By that stage it was past SP1 - maybe SP2.

And these days I'm happy with XP. I expect the same thing will happen with Vista.

And besides - the lego thing isnt talking about Vista - it's talking about Office. And I dont care who you are - but MS Office is way better than OpenOffice. I'm glad there's a free open-source alternative - but there's no way I want to give up my Word and Excel.

But I will point out that Vista was a shocking name choice. Every single piece of software I have used that has had the name "Vista" (and there have been a few) have been the stupidest, most anoying, and most un-intuative programs I've ever used.

I did play with Vista Business the other day for about 30 min. Just cause I could, and then blew it away to install XP (the work laptops come with Vista now).

And apart from the fact that it was using about 70% of the RAM (system had 1G) just sitting there doing nothing, it didnt seem too bad. But not so exciting that I wanted to rush home and install it there either.

But when I upgrade my PC, I'll get a copy of Vista for it. But I might be dual-booting for a while yet...

hmm I aggree,

But they named vista from using 3 opperating systems.

Windows CE, ME, and NT to create CEMENT! They called this new opperating system Vista! :P

hahaha. I love that ad :D

As for using Vista, I've been using it for many months, I actually like it, I like that i can monitor my hard drives usage, and everything else. I like that Explorer 7 actually works like it should. I even like the look and feel to it. The searching is great as you just type services and services loads up, no need to type the real name for it. Thats cool. But i aggree with duel booting. I've left 20 gig for Xp on my system. I'll install XP for games, and Vista for everything else. Oh and games which are Directx10.

Like shadowrun, and bioshock had some features for it.
waiting for cycis. which i'll need vista for.
soo it will come in handy. looking forword to SP1 for vista. NOT looking forward to SP1 for directx 10.1 which is a load of crap and i dont want that patch!

I've been using Vista Ultimate a bit, and the more I use it the more it annoys me. OK, maybe its starting to plateau now, and it could be that I don't like the way its been set up, but I also hate the fact it takes up 850Mb RAM on boot. That should never happen. Not only that, it takes absolutely ages to start and stop (and this is a fast system too),and it is ETERNALLY slow on a dodgey lappy.

But I am planning on buying it soon. The only reason being DX10, which does look supremely awesome. UT3 is golden on DX10. Very Very impressive!

And I'm planning on getting myself a new graphics card in the very near future, looking at either an 8800GTS 320 or an 8800GT 512. I think it will probably end up being the 8800GT cos the GTS is EOLing very soon. And I'm buying it as part of a batch deal so I get an extremely good price for it. We're looking at less than $299 AUD for them (retails at TasPC for $475 for the GTS). Sorry for the advertising Jawa, but the more people the better. You can express your interest in getting one at http://www.nindeals.com.au/showthread.php?t. As I said before, the more people the better. And when you create your username, make sure you put down that turkeybrain told you (that's my username there as well)

And I'm quite sure that Jawa will remove the link above. We will see...

Oh yeah, and I've heard that Bioshock comes with a nice little rootkit.

Why would I remove it? I dont mind if you link external stuff - as long as it's relevant.

I'm just not ready to upgrade yet - otherwise I'd join you.
